Attending a mock exam at the end of Year 4 can be really helpful for you and your child to get ahead in the 11 Plus!
The experience will introduce your child to the exam room setting as well as helping to establish how much work needs to be done over the coming year. It will also highlight strengths and areas for improvement. By doing the exam a year early, you will have lots of time to work on any weaknesses.
Sutton Tutorials Year 4 exam is pitched at Year 4 level of learning and will show how much progress your child has made throughout Year 4 and what stage they are currently at in the 11 Plus journey.
Many parents find this to be extremely beneficial.
The exam will consist of 2 x 45-minute multiple choice papers testing Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
The exam is open to anyone living in the United Kingdom who is in year 4.
Does my child have to attend classes at Sutton Tutorials in order to book a mock exam?
No, you don’t have to attend tuition classes at Sutton Tutorials in order to benefit from our mock exam experience. Sutton Tutorials are proud to offer Y4 mock exams to all children in the Midlands area and beyond who want to get ahead in the 11 Plus.
We enrolled our child onto the Year 4 11+ mock exam, and we couldn’t have been happier with end to end process. The set up was very professional and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The staff had a calming influence on the children, and ensured each child felt comfortable in the surroundings. Following completion of the exam, the pick up process was organised well, and no one was waiting around for a long period of time to collect their child.
The results were sent quicker than expected, and the most pleasing aspect of the results report was the clear breakdown of each paper, and questions that were answered (both correctly and incorrectly). The breakdown has really helped us with targeting the required development areas for our child.
I would definitely recommend anyone who has children sitting the 11+, to enroll on the year 4 mock exam – and we will definitely be returning for the year 5 mocks!

Terms & Conditions
Copies of the exam paper will not be returned to you after mock exams. All questions are written by Sutton Tutorials and are based on findings from extensive research.
At Sutton Tutorials, we ensure all our invigilators and/or tutors are DBS checked before we allow them to work with children.
Individual exam booking
NO changes to exam sessions or times can be made within 2 weeks of the exam date. We require at least 2 weeks notice before the exam date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the exam date will NOT be issued a refund.
Refund Policy
Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the exam date will be issued a full refund. Sutton Tutorials will aim to issue refunds within 7 days of confirming the customer request.
Multiple exam package booking
Cancellations to multiple exam bookings can only be made within the first 14 days of purchase. After this time, if your child is unable to attend the exam, we will transfer your booking to the classroom based mock exam at our tuition centre on Station Road. If for any reason we cannot hold an event, due to situations that are beyond our control, our in-person events will take place online and no refund will be provided.
