11 Plus Independent School Mock Exams in Birmingham
Our mock exams follow the same format as both boys’ and girls’ King Edwards schools in Birmingham and is also suitable for those children taking the exam for Solihull School and Edgbaston High School for Girls.

We have made our exam as realistic as we possibly can, following the same format as King Edwards School (KES) for the boys and King Edward VI High School for Girls (KEHS) for the girls. The exam format is slightly different for the boys and girls.
The exam is also suitable for those children taking the exam for Solihull School and Edgbaston High School for Girls.
Boys Mock Exam Format
Our mock exam includes two papers: maths and English. The English paper has a prose comprehension and a creative writing exercise. The maths paper presents questions of increasing complexity, starting at a basic level and gradually getting more challenging.
- 1 x English Prose Comprehension (45 minutes) and Creative Writing (30 minutes)
- 1 x Mathematics Paper (1 hour)
Girls Mock Exam Format
Our mock exam includes two papers: maths and English. The English paper assesses reading and writing through comprehension, creative writing and analysis of poems and prose. The maths paper presents questions of increasing complexity, starting at a basic level and gradually getting more challenging.
- 1 x English Prose and Poem Comprehension (45 minutes) and Creative Writing (30 minutes)
- 1 x Mathematics Paper (1hour)

Terms & Conditions
Copies of the exam paper will not be returned to you after mock exams. All questions are written by Sutton Tutorials and are based on findings from extensive research.
At Sutton Tutorials, we ensure all our invigilators and/or tutors are DBS checked before we allow them to work with children.
Individual exam booking
NO changes to exam sessions or times can be made within 2 weeks of the exam date. We require at least 2 weeks notice before the exam date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the exam date will NOT be issued a refund.
Refund Policy
Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the exam date will be issued a full refund. Sutton Tutorials will aim to issue refunds within 7 days of confirming the customer request.
Multiple exam package booking
Cancellations to multiple exam bookings can only be made within the first 14 days of purchase. After this time, if your child is unable to attend the exam, we will transfer your booking to the classroom based mock exam at our tuition centre on Station Road. If for any reason we cannot hold an event, due to situations that are beyond our control, our in-person events will take place online and no refund will be provided.
