As we reflect on another fantastic year here at Sutton Tutorials, we have so much to be proud of, from launching new online learning offerings to supporting thousands of learners in their academic journeys.
And as 2026 begins, we’re thrilled to share a major development that will make our tuition centre even better for families in Sutton Coldfield and beyond.
New Year 5 Online Learning Platform a Huge Success
2025 saw the launch of our Year 5 online learning platform, which went live in July 2025 and quickly became one of our most popular offerings. Designed to support children preparing for 11 Plus exams, this digital resource has enabled Sutton Tutorials to reach learners nationally, going far beyond our local community, with children signing up from as far as London and Manchester.
Our platform includes daily timed tests in:
- Maths
- English
- Verbal Reasoning (VR)
- Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR)
- Speed Maths
These short, structured activities help children build confidence and consistency, whether they’re learning with us in person or revising at home. Over 100 children have subscribed to this programme, benefiting from structured practice that complements our live tuition.

Record Participation in 11+ Mock Exams
One of the highlights of 2025 was the continued popularity of our mock exam series — designed to give real exam experience.
- 1,450 children took part in our mock exams
- The largest single session was Mock Exam 5 in August with 403 children
Each year we review and update our exam papers so that they stay current, realistic, and aligned with real 11+ exam structures — helping students walk into the real test day with confidence.

Tutoring Milestones Across All Levels
We’re immensely proud of the number of young learners we supported across 2025:
- 147 Year 5 students
- 112 Year 4 students
- 23 Year 3 students
- Plus numerous GCSE and A-Level learners in maths and science
Of the 103 families who shared their results with us, an impressive 96 children achieved scores over the qualifying benchmark of 205 — a strong indicator of how effective targeted tuition can be.
Even more exciting: six children we tutored have secured scholarships at KES, KEHS, EHS, and Solihull School.

A New Chapter in 2026: Relocating to Better Premises
We are delighted to announce that on 30th January 2026 we will be moving to our new premises at:
Sutton Tutorials
The Lanes Shopping Centre,
Wylde Green,
Sutton Coldfield,

After months of careful planning and searching, this move will enable us to:
- Run extra classes
- Offer a more comfortable learning space
- Provide improved parking for parents and carers
The new location offers a large free car park (up to 2 hours) and amenities such as shops and a Costa Coffee, making waiting during lessons more pleasant and convenient.
Rest assured: while our location is changing, our commitment to high-quality tuition and student success remains exactly the same.
